With summer in full swing pull together the family for a fun way to ring in Independence Day. 

Here’s what you’ll need to get started:

Steps:

1. Cut out your cardboard into a rectangle.
2. Draw vertical lines every 2" and score them using the utility knife and straight edge.Having a sharp, new blade makes this much easier.
3. Roll up the cardboard and use duct tape to secure it.
4. Cut the Astrobrights papers into 2" sections using scissors. Next, cut "fringe" along the edges and hot glue the strips of paper onto the tube.
5. When you are done, just use the duct tape to secure the dowel to the inside of your firecracker and have some parade fun!
