Happy Spring! Spring is full of color and paper flowers are one of my favorite projects to show that off! Today I am sharing the perfect easy beginner paper flowers that could work great on wall display! You can create your own spring garden that will last forever!
Materials:
Simple 3D Flower
1. Find a medium size circular item. A solo cup or coaster works great.
2. Trace the circle 5 times overlapping the circles to create the outline of a flower.
3. Cut out the design only cutting along the edges. You will have the perfect flower shape. Flip it over so the pencil marks on the back.
4. Select two additional colors of cardstock and trace the same circle 5x on each color and cut out.
5. Roll those circles into cones and glue
6. Glue the cones around the base flower you cut in step 3.
7. Finish the center with a rolled flower or a pom pom.
8. Finish off the whole flower by cutting out a stem and leaves.
Whimsical Flower
1. Use the same circle and trace 5-7 circles on a color cardstock of your choice.
2. Roll and glue each circle into a cone shape.
3. Stack the cones inside each other like they are cascading out. You can alter how many you use based on preference.
4. Glue the stack together and then add a stem and leaves.
Daisy Flower
1. Select 2-3 shades of yellow cardstock and cut out football shapes. You will want two different sizes. Cut at least 8 of the largest petals and 7-8 of the smaller ones.
2. You will also need to cut a circle for the base and the top center.
3. Glue the large petals on the base circle in a circle.
4. Glue the smaller petals between each of the larger ones to create a layered effect. Only glue at the center.
5. Glue the small circle in the center to cover up the ends.
6. Use your fingers or a pencil to roll the petals up slightly to create dimension.
7. Finish by added a stem and leaves.
Cone Flowers
1. Select one color shade of cardstock and select 5-6 pieces in that color.
2. Roll each piece of cardstock into a cone and glue.
3. Cut small strips of yellow paper.
4. Roll each strip around a pencil to curl.
5. Glue each 3-4 of the curled strips coming out from the cone.
6. Glue the cones together and finish with leaves and a stem.
Hopefully, these simple paper flower tutorials will inspire you to get creative and come up with your own simple flowers. I taped mine to my fireplace to create a garden, but they could on a wall or even a mirror! The possibilities are endless!
Happy Crafting!
