Craft Box Girls
Surprise Boxes are fun and easy craft to make for any special occasion. Once you make one you will want to make them all the time! For today’s Halloween themed surprise box, I am using 3 layers of Astrodesigns® 12x12” Cardstock. I love the Astrodesigns® Starter Pack because you basically get every color!
Supplies:
Astrodesigns® Cardstock Starter Pack
Directions:
1. Select a color of cardstock for each layer of the surprise box and the lid.
2. Download, print and cut out the square templates.
3. Start with the smallest square (3.5”) and place it in the lower left corner of the piece of paper. Trace the top and right side.
4. Move the square to the right and line up the left side of the square with the line you traced.
5. Trace a line on the right side of the square.
6. Move the square to the right and line up the left side with the line you just traced.
7. Trace a line across the top of the square.
8. Do this same thing for each side of the paper. You will be left with a large plus sign.
9. Cut out the plus sign.
10. Make fold lines along each side of the plus sign.
11. Repeat steps 3-10 for the 3.75” and 4” square on their respective pieces of cardstock.
12. Download, print and cut the template for the box lid.
13. Trace the template on the cardstock and cut out.
14. Use the template as a guideline for where to make the folds on the lid.
15. Fold in each corner and glue to together.
16. Decorate each layer of the box and lid.
17. Once you are done decorating stack all the layers together, add some treats in center, fold up and put the lid on!
Have fun sharing the surprise with friends!
