I love adding a special touch to gifts and making my own 3D gift wrap is so much fun. It is even more fun watching the recipient light up when they see it! I have been having a blast creating with the Astrobrights Holiday Cardstock Pack. Make sure to check out my Ugly Sweater Greeting Cards project!
Time: 30 minutes
Level: Beginner
Materials:
Directions:
1. Wrap the present with brown craft paper.
2. To make the flower you will need red, green and yellow cardstock from the Holiday pack.
3. Start with the red cardstock and draw a large football shape. This will be your largest petal so be sure it will fit on your package.
4. Cut out this petal. Trace and cut 16 petals.
5. Take the initial petal and cut it down slightly. This will be the middle layer of petals.
6. Trace and cut 8 medium petals.
7. Take the initial petal and cut it down again for the smallest petal.
8. Trace and cut 8 petals.
9. Use the creasing feature on the paper cutter to crease each petal down the center.
10. Cut a small circle to be the base (it does not have to be perfect.)
11. Glue the circle to the middle of the present.
12. Glue the petals around the circle starting with the largest petals first.
13. Next create the center. Use the paper cutter to cut a 1.5” x 12” strip of paper.
14. Use the scissor to cut slips all the way down the paper.
15. Roll up and glue to create the center.
16. Use your fingers to fluff out the center.
17. Glue in the center of the flower.
18. Cut leaves out of the green paper and glue to the present under the flower.
TADA! Whoever you give this gift to is sure to love it! Happy Holiday Crafting Friends!
