Rainbow Handprint Pot of Gold Craft

Children of all ages love to craft! With St. Patrick’s Day right around the corner, this craft is perfect to do at home or school. We’ll be making a Rainbow Handprint Craft using Astrobrights® Neenah™ Bright White Cardstock and Astrobrights® Brights Cardstock. The goal is to create a fun St. Patrick’s Day themed craft that is a keepsake for many years to come! This craft is perfect for classroom bulletin boards or a special spot on the fridge!
Materials:
- Rainbow Handprint Template
- Astrobrights® Neenah™ Bright White Cardstock
- Astrobrights® Brights Cardstock (we used the color Solar Yellow™ for the coins)
- Crayons or Markers
- Glue stick
- Paint (red, orange, yellow, blue, green, purple)
- Paintbrushes
- Optional: laminator to laminate the finished product
Step 1: Print out the Happy St. Patrick’s Day Template on a piece of the Astrobrights® Cardstock. Page 1 of the template should be printed on a piece of Neenah™ Bright White Cardstock. Page 2 of the template should be printed on a piece of Solar Yellow™ paper.
Step 2: Paint your child’s (or your) hand using the colors of the rainbow. Start with red then paint yellow, orange, green, blue, and purple. Place the hand directly above the pot to be a rainbow coming out of the pot!
Step 3: Cut out your desired number of coins and glue them around the pot however you’d like! We stacked three coins to the left and two on the right.
Step 4: An optional step would be to laminate your keepsake handprint! This helps to protect your artwork/handprint. The Rainbow Handprint Craft would look fantastic on a bulletin board at school or on the fridge as decor for St. Patrick’s Day!! Either way, this easy, print and go, craft is sure to be a new favorite!
