Serve up some summer reading fun with my playful Pickleball Bookmarks!
My cute bookmarks combine love of the game with love of books. Just slide the paper paddle between your pages to hold your spot and let the pickleball hang outside like a tassel. It’s an easy handmade gift to make for pickleball pals—or yourself! You can even customize the paddle colors to match your gear, league, or favorite court outfit.
I designed this fun summer craft using the new Astrodesigns® Pastel Starter Pack which is hands-down my favorite pastel color palette yet! This set of 18 dreamy pastels is filled with unexpected, perfectly coordinated colors that mix and match beautifully.
Just print my hand-drawn pickleball templates onto Astrodesigns® paper, cut and glue the pieces, and attach the pickleball to the paddle with embroidery floss or yarn.
I dink you’ll have a smashing time making this craft!

How to make my Pickleball Bookmarks:
Step 1: Print out my pickleball paddle templates onto your favorite Astrodesigns® cardstock colors. I used cream for my paddles and tan for handles.
Step 2: Cut out a handle, leaving a slight border around the side and bottom edges.
Step 3: Glue the handle onto the pickleball paddle and let dry.
Step 4: Cut out the pickleball paddle leaving a slight border around the paddle.
Step 5: Now it’s time to decorate and personalize your paddle! Print paddle designs onto your favorite Astrodesigns® cardstock colors.
Step 6: Color your paddle by cutting out pieces and gluing to the paddle. Let dry completely.
Step 7: Cut out two pickleballs per bookmark. I’ve marked these “front” and “back” on the printable templates to help you keep the sets together.
Step 8: Punch a small hole into your paper paddle using a ⅛” craft punch.
Step 9: Fold a 13” piece of embroidery floss or yarn in half, then put it through the hole in the paddle. Slip the raw ends through the loop to secure.
Step 10: Tape the raw ends onto the back side of one pickleball.
Step 8: Sandwich the second pickleball on top with glue. This creates a reversible pickleball to hang outside your book like a tassel.
Step 9: Start your summer reading!
